The student should be, minimum, in their 2nd year of training. Basic ballet terms should be understood and demonstrated by the student once enrolled in this class. Linking steps together in the center and across the floor and working on memorization of combinations is a skill they will develop in this class with less verbal cues. The dancer should be able to observe and replicate the movement demonstrated by the teacher. Developing rhythms, musicality, and technical proficiency will be emphasized. Ideally level II ballet dancers would be training at least 2 hours a week.
