Acting for Dancers Workshop

Live Forever Project and Kayla Schetter's Dance Studio are happy to partner to provide the community with a workshop that combines dancing skills with acting skills.The use of acting techniques in the art of dance is an often overlooked, yet essential skill set for dancers to develop in order to captivate an audience. These techniques also enhance a dancer's personal connection to choreography and have a powerful impact on how an audience experiences a performance.
Within the workshop Kayla will teach a short segment of dance choreography suitable for ALL levels of dancers. This will be the basis to build on our acting skills through learned techniques and exercises that Colleen will walk us through and practice. At the end of the workshop we will combine our dancing with our new acting skills to help advance our storytelling and character development as a dancer for the stage.
